For the first time in the Wasdale Valley you will now be able to experience a luxury yurt holiday
Yurt in the Paddock sits proudly in the paddock at Rainors Farm B&B overlooking the Wasdale Valley. Raised from the ground on wooden decking, fully carpeted and with a window strategically placed so you can gaze out over Scafell Pike (England's highest mountain) and the Wasdale fells without even leaving your bed! Wake up to sunrise over Scafell before taking a gentle stroll to the house each morning for your breakfast
Our second yurt, Yurt by the Stream and new arrival for 2009, sits cozily tucked away in a secluded spot in the wild garden amongst oak and hazel trees, alongside a gentle babbling stream, but still with views of Scafell Pike and the spectacular surrounding landscape. Feel free to light a campfire in the picnic area of Yurt by the Stream for your “alfresco” dining and wake up to the gentle trickling of the stream and the happy chickens before coming to the house for your breakfast
Both Yurts are 18ft in diameter and will sleep two to five people in one double bed and three single shiatsu mattresses. We make up the beds for you with fresh white cotton bed linen and coloured throws and all we ask is that you bring your own towels and toiletries
Each yurt has soft, cozy, ethnic-style furnishings, hanging lanterns, bolsters to lounge on and are insulated with lovely, organic, Welsh felt and have a clear roof crown to gaze up at the moon and stars at night
Not only will you have the luxury of electricity, a woodburning stove to keep you warm at night and constant hot water for tea/coffee, you will have your “own” toilet and heated shower room close by - not shared with any other guests. Included in the price you will also be served a full traditional English or vegetarian breakfast in the house each morning
Both yurts have a BBQ, picnic table and chairs and all BBQ cooking/cleaning utensils are provided
Hearty packed lunches are available at £6 per head
Should the weather be wet and mucky (as it sometimes is in the Lake District) there is a drying/utility room close by with a heated boot-rack, Sheila-Maid clothes airer, fridge and washing machine for guests use
The Wasdale Yurt Holiday is great for families and friends and with its' romantic ambience is equally good for couples, honeymooners and anyone in need of some "yurt therapy"
We offer free Wi-Fi which is fine from all our accommodation except Yurt by the Stream where you will find a better signal from the breakfast room in the house
Many of our guests have celebrated their birthdays, anniversaries, engagements and honeymoons here and have been "blown away" by their yurt experience

Although we can accept dogs in the B&B unfortunately this is not possible in the Yurts. We do however recommend Broadwater Farm Kennels approximately 20 minutes away in Bootle, tried and tested by our previous guests.
